Stories

Every Story Starts With One Question.   Are you ok?…

The most meaningful conversations begin with three simple words.  Explore real stories, honest conversations, and unforgettable moments from the HHAYO community, where every voice has the power to inspire healing, hope, and connection.

Courtney 'Snaps NYC' Nelson — founder of Hip Hop, Are You OK?

Courtney "Snaps NYC" Nelson.

"The culture was already telling on itself. I just asked the question nobody wanted to say out loud."

Founder of Hip-Hop, Are You OK? She brings together artists, executives, therapists, and community leaders in rooms that don’t usually intersect—creating space for conversations around culture, wellness, and truth.

Her full founding story—how it began, the spaces that shaped it, and the journey from instinct to infrastructure—will be shared as the first episode of this series.

ON THE RECORD

Hip-Hop, Are You Okay?
The Cost of the Culture.

Hip Hop, Are You Ok?  partnered with the Recording Academy New York Chapter and New York Music Month, an initiative of the NYC Mayor's Office Of Media and Entertainment. The city's official celebration of music, to bring an honest conversation on burnout, mental health, and what the culture actually costs the people who make it.
