Culture
Weekend NY

Three days. Five pillars. One room. Culture Weekend brought artists, executives, therapists, and organizers into the same conversation — and proved the model that became HHAYO.

Featured Recap

The blueprint, on tape.

Our founder Courtney "Snaps NYC" Nelson was part of building Culture Weekend NY, alongside Rel Carter and Devin L. White,  a gathering that brought artists, executives, therapists and organizers from across the country, into the same conversation. Mind. Body. Money. Community. Culture. It worked there first.

This weekend laid the early groundwork for the founding of Hip-Hop, Are You OK?  the same blueprint, now a movement.

Partner Space

Powered in partnership with
NYPL SNFL and Studio 40

Culture Weekend NY was hosted at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (SNFL). The New York Public Library was a venue partner, and TechConnect, founded by Dr. Brandy McNeil, helped sponsor the space and gave the community access to production tools as they geared up to celebrate Hip-Hop 50th.

TechConnect made it possible to put the culture in a room with real production infrastructure. We're grateful  and we encourage every artist, organizer, and student to use it.
